Job Description The IP R&T India CDL will execute the following mission for the IP R&T business in India:
  • Working closely with the IP & Optics India presales BDM to contribute to the successful execution of IP R&T business in India, from lead identification to contract signature to final acceptance through maintenance.
  • Project execution strategy across the IP R&T portfolio.
  • Executive account level responsibility for quality execution and customer satisfaction.
  • During project opportunity phase, ensures project feasibility, assesses delivery risks, highlights profitability issues, and establishes mitigation actions and plans.
  • During project execution, will act as business enabler, managing a team of account CDLs acting as the single Alcatel-Lucent interface for the customer and all project stakeholders for the contract.
  • Works with the larger IP R&T Competence centers to ensure forecasting and acquisition of skilled resources for the duration of the projects.
Desired Profile
  • 19~22 years proven record of industry related successful Implementation of complex projects mainly in IP and Optics.
  • Past experience in Commercial Management in relation to Contract and Financial Project Management
  • Proven Knowledge of and strong understanding of Project Management Tools and Methodology
  • PMP certification is desired.

Position Name: IPT Business Development / Technical Presales Consultant (DGM/GM)

Job Description
  • To maintain and accelerate the growth of IPT business in India, an experienced IP Transport technical pre-sales consultant is required to join the team.
  • The IP transport business development/technical pre-sales consultant is required to support sales teams in driving new optical business leads & opportunities with focus on xWDM, OTN, and SDH related products & solutions within the IP Transport portfolio. They are also required to interface directly with customers, maintaining existing and building new strong, trusted and long-lasting relationships & will responsible for influencing customer decisions by providing “thought” leadership that is aligned to the strategic direction of the Alcatel-Lucent IPT Division. 
  Key Responsibilities:
  • Business development of the IP Transport portfolio in India
  • Promotion of IP Transport product portfolio to strategic key customers (act as a technical pre-sales prime for atleast one key customer in India responsible for driving the technical relationship with key customer contacts)
  • Develop competitive technical and commercial differentiators in partnership with internal stakeholders such as Customer Account and solutions teams
  • Internal and external subject matter expert of IP Transport products & solutions, covering xWDM, OTN, and SDH technologies and products & solutions
  • Develop and own customer related commercial pricing strategies i.e. Customer Price Books.
  • Drive growth in the form of orders/sales/SVM within the delegated
  • authority (DOA)
Desired Profile
  • Senior business development experience (10+ years) with strong demonstrated product exposure across Optics and related Business units.  Client focused, solutions based sales experience, with demonstrated ability at building and developing strategic relationships.
  • Knowledge on Optical products such as 1830 PSS, 1850 TSS, OMSN, ISA-ES, 1350 OMS.
  • Knowledge of Layer 2 technologies such as MPLS-TP, Provider bridging.
  • Understanding of Optical network architecture and related commercial drivers.
  • Polished, refined, confident and charismatic interpersonal skills, with experience    presenting to C level internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic solution management skills, with ability to demonstrate short and long term business goals.
  • Ability to work independently while still achieving the goals stated above   Exposure of working on high value complex deals
